Wrap Rage

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!! If you hear a huge sigh of relief in the upcoming months, especially on Christmas morning, it is from parents everywhere.
Wrap Rage is a term defined by Amazon.com as the frustration humans feel when trying to free a product from a nearly impenetrable package. Finally, THEY ARE GETTING IT. I used to think is was China playing a trick on Americans.
I learned of this as I logged onto Amazon.com. A message popped up explaining how Amazon is working with big named companies...Fisher Price, Mattel, Microsoft in order to provide Frustration Free packaging.
I can not describe my relief. Maybe Santa will be delivering one of these 19 products under my tree this Christmas. Maybe we will not need pliers to pry open a box this year.
The first product to provide this...Fisher Price Imaginext Pirate Ship. This item is delivered in an easy-to-open recyclable box and eliminates 36 inches of wire ties, 1,576.5 square inches of package inserts, and 36.1 square inches of printed carton materials. Also eliminated are 175.25 square inches of PVC blisters, 3.5 square inches of ABS molded styrene, and two plastic fasteners. I might just purchase this on principle.
It looks like they may have averted a major breakdown by a mother/father of a crazed kid waiting to tear into this rockin' ship.
Not to mention...they are helping the environment.
Now can someone help us mothers with crib sheets and Gerber baby foods?

OMG They have a word for this Phenomenon!! My husband and I spend or should I say *waste* hours the night before Christmas with pliers and scissors. You are right I may just be buying this Pirate ship for my girls. And as for the baby food-I don't know where they expect weary tired mothers to gather the HULK like strength needed to get those little suckers opened!!!
