Everyone knows that Philly has not won a championship since they built Liberty Place higher then William Penn, right? Well did you all know that when the final beam in the construction of the new Comcast building was raised on June 18, 2008, ironworkers of Local Union 401 attached a small figurine of William Penn to the beam in homage to the statue atop City Hall and in an attempt to break the curse of Billy Penn. Huh.
Go Phils!! We needed this.
